From out of the frozen northern wilds of EdenAgain, riding great ice flows drawn by giant sea monsters, comes this giant race of heartless raiders and warriors. Always in the depths of fierce winter storms they descend upon the northern peoples of Talania taking what and who they wish, slaying all those who would defend themselves or their lands. After a frost giant raid little more is left than empty storehouses and broken hearts.
Frost Giants are huge and fearsome brutes with thick insulating gray/white fur and beards, tusk-like teeth, and horns sprouting from their shaggy heads. Their bright blue or green eyes can see in even the densest of mists and blizzards. Their enormous ulcerated noses can smell warm blood for miles. When frost giants go into battle they often wield a huge battleaxe or warhammer. They have little use for armor, but do use leather shields and wear animal hides and helmets (Interestingly enough, a frost giant's helmet is designed to fit over and around their natural horns, leading some bands of dark creature and human pirates to adopt this horned helmet image to emulate the frost giants' success). Many of a frost giant's weapons and accutrements are carved with a stylized depiction of a dragon, often of Jormangundir (the Great Red Dragon) who they worship.
Their incredibly specialized physique restricts the extent of their predations; much to the relief of Talania's citizenry. While they are immune to even the deepest cold, temperatures just above freezing are very uncomfortable to them. Temperatures much above that would swiftly begin to cook them alive under all of that insulating fur and blubber - they quickly become confused, then delirious, then insane when exposed to thawing temperatures. (Indeed, they torture cowardly members of their race by dunking them in a bath of tepid water.) They are thus limited to raiding in the far north and a bit farther south during the winter months. A good rule of thumb is; If there is no snow, there probably isn't a frost giant anywhere nearby. Because of their dislike, even fear, of heat, frost giants practice the enslavement of dwarfs, humans, and even the occasional giant, so they might be made to forge weapons and other tools in the blaze of a hearth.
Frost Giants feel no love or pity for any living creature, even their own kind. In their worship of Jormungundir (who told them that Love was weakness) they long ago foreswore the warmth of love, and encased their hearts in ice. The deep selfishness of their souls billows forth from their very breath, gathering about them like a chilling white fog. Their Heart of Ice Sin Enchantment is passed to any who are touched by that icy breath, causing the victim's heart to harden against compassion and love for his fellow man. Thus affected, a victim would be merciless to the wounded and abusive to the downtrodden dragon slaves. LightRaiders, beware!

Psalm 97:10-12
Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.
Psalm 97:10-12
