WindRider

Requirements: Peace of 6, Faithfulness of 6 and ( 2*PE + 2*FA + AG + CO + SC ) / 7 = 7 or greater

A WindRider receives a Giant Talking Eagle as an Animal Companion. A WindRider needs high Peace and Faithfulness ratings, since he could be hanging on to a Giant Eagle flying at 60-80 mph between mountain tops while being chased by a dragon. Good Self Control, Agility and Courage scores would help too. The WindRider receives a +2 bonus to Vision while riding his compainion and a +2 to Lance while in aerial combat. A WindRider may ride bareback, but a special saddle must be used for aerial combat.

The Giant Eagle is able to carry one average sized human with minimal equipment at a time or two small children.

Ground Speed - 1 square (or hex) per round (hopping)

Flight Speed - unencumbered - 8 squares (or hexes) per round, encumbered - 4 squares (or hexes) per round

Diving and climbing: +/- 50% of base speed.

Flight Ceiling - 15,000 feet, with rider; 10,000 feet.
